Making StuyTown more sustainable
“StuyTown is known as an oasis in New York City and we really wanted to build on that reputation by making it more sustainable.” – Nadeem Meghji, Head of Real Estate Americas
This past Fall, Blackstone, Ivanhoe Cambridge and StuyTown announced a plan to install solar panels across every roof in StuyTown. This project will triple the solar capacity of New York City and power 1,000 apartments a year. In addition, Blackstone and StuyTown have worked together to implement extensive recycling programs throughout the property, cut down on water usage and use modern technology to cut down on electricity usage.
